(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to announce a dominant performance by Subaru Rally Team Canada (SRTC) driver Antoine L’Estage and co-driver Darren Garrod in the Pacific Forest Rally.  In a truly impressive showing the team won every stage on their way to the overall victory, finishing ahead of the second place team by over seven minutes.  Persevering despite some setbacks in the first half of the season, they are now trailing by only one point in the hotly contested race for the driver’s championship title.

“This victory was really important for the whole team,” said L’Estage following SRTC’s convincing win.
“We had some challenges earlier this year, but now we are in a good position in the championship. The work’s not done, we still have two events to go, but I know the Rally of the Tall Pines really well, and with Big White on the calendar, I really like snow rallies, sothat will be a good event.”

Pacific Forest proved to be a prolific event for multiple Subaru teams, with three finishing in the top four.  This included a remarkable performance from Derik Nelson and Adam Newell in their 2013 BRZ.  Although the vehicle is RWD as opposed to AWD like most rally cars, they managed to power their way to an impressive third-place finish.
