April Showers Subaru with Sales for Best Month Ever
- 5,523 units retailed for best ever single month sales numbers
- Best ever year-to-date sales keep Subaru on track for sixth consecutive annual sales record
(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is thrilled to announce best ever monthly sales with 5,523 units retailed in the month of April. This best month ever also contributed to best ever year-to-date sales, putting Subaru firmly on the path to surpass last year’s record sales of 50,190 units.
Across Canada, each region contributed record numbers, also setting individual benchmarks for best month ever sales numbers. Atlantic was up 40.2 percent over April 2016, with Western (10.8 percent), Quebec (6.9 percent) and Ontario (1.5 percent) all posting increases over last year.
Winning Japan Car of the Year and being named one of Ward’s 10 Best Interiors made it no surprise that the 2017 Subaru Impreza, the first vehicle built on the modular Subaru Global Platform, experienced its best month to date with 1,159 units retailed across the country. The best-selling Subaru Forester, AJAC’s (Automobile Journalists Association of Canada) Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year also saw its best April sales ever, with 1,387 units sold.
Lead by the lightning fast Inazuma Edition, the BRZ surpassed last April’s sales with 111 units retailed. Also topping last April’s sales were the Legacy with 439 units, and the Outback with 1,131 units.
“These record-setting monthly sales numbers show that our customers recognize Subaru’s continued commitment to offering quality products and maintaining a high standard of customer service,” says Yasushi Enami, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada. “We are confident that our continued efforts will help us reach new heights in 2017.”
