  • Best June sales ever at 5,088 units, leading to 26,433 units sold so far in 2017
  • Record June results for Forester, Impreza and WRX/STI, with increases of 17.6, 31.8 and 12.0 percent respectively.

(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to announce its best ever June sales with results up 6.1 percent and 5,088 units retailed. With sales of 26,433 at the six-month mark, Subaru looks to surpass 2016’s annual sales record of 50,190 units.

The Western region increased sales by 11.0 percent over the same month last year. Ontario increased sales by 10.6 percent and Quebec set a record with an 8.0 percent uptick in June.

The capable Forester, Subaru’s volume leader and AJAC’s (Automobile Journalists Association of Canada) Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year, achieved sales of 1,491 units for a 17.6 percent increase over last year, setting a record for June. Impreza achieved a new record with 1,011 units sold for a 31.8 percent increase over last June, and the sporty WRX/STI notched a 12.0 percent increase, with 410 units retailed.
